Terms & conditions
The terms that apply when you get a quote or book work with White Buffalo Bespoke Ltd.
Who we are
White Buffalo Bespoke Ltd ("we", "us") is a construction and renovation company serving North London and Hertfordshire. These terms apply to every quote, estimate and job we carry out for you, alongside anything agreed in writing for your specific project. If anything here conflicts with a signed contract or written quote for your job, the signed document takes priority.
Quotes and estimates
A quote is a fixed price for the work described in it and is normally valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise. An estimate is our best judgement of likely cost and can change once work is underway and the full scope is visible (for example, once old plaster or pipework is exposed). We will always tell you before carrying out any extra work that increases the price, and agree it with you first except where it is needed to keep you or the property safe.
Deposits and payment
Larger jobs may need a deposit to secure your start date and cover materials ordered in advance; this will be set out in your quote. Payment terms (stage payments or payment on completion) are agreed before work starts. Invoices are due within the timeframe stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on significantly overdue invoices at the statutory rate.
Changes to the work
If you want to change the scope of work after it has started, let us know and we will confirm any change to the price and timescale before carrying it out. Changes requested once materials have been ordered or work has begun may affect both.
Cancelling
If you booked with us without meeting us in person at your property beforehand, you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations in which you can cancel free of charge. Outside of that period, or once work or ordering of bespoke materials has started at your request, reasonable costs already incurred (materials ordered, time booked) may be chargeable if you cancel. We will always discuss this with you rather than surprise you with a bill.
Our responsibilities
We carry out all work to a good trade standard and in line with current building regulations where they apply. We are fully insured for the work we carry out. Where a job needs building control sign-off or planning permission, we will tell you — arranging and paying for these is the customer’s responsibility unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing.
Access and your responsibilities
To keep your job on schedule we need reasonable access to the work area, parking where possible, and water/electricity on site. Please let us know about anything relevant before we start — asbestos, structural concerns, access restrictions, or anyone in the household with particular needs during the works.
Liability
We take reasonable care to protect your property while working. Where loss or damage results from our negligence, we will put it right. We are not liable for pre-existing issues uncovered during the work, or for problems caused by materials or instructions you have specifically asked us to use or follow against our advice. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Complaints
If anything isn't right, tell us as soon as possible so we can put it right — most issues are resolved quickly this way. Email info@whitebuffalobespoke.com with your details and we will respond promptly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This draft has not been reviewed by a solicitor — have it checked before relying on it. Last updated: 14 October 2026.
